Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains how Akshay Meena ("I", "me") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit akshaymeena.in or contact me through it. I am based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. This policy is written with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation and the California Consumer Privacy Act in mind.

What I collect

• Information you give me. When you use a contact form or booking form, I collect your name, email address and anything else you choose to share, such as your company, website, role or message.
• Usage information. Like most websites, the server records technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and the time of each visit. If analytics is enabled, it collects similar data in aggregated form.
• Cookies. This site uses a small number of cookies and browser storage. See the cookie policy for details.

Why I use it

• To reply to your message and continue the conversation you started.
• To keep the website secure, prevent spam and fix problems.
• To understand which pages are useful so I can improve the site.

I do not sell personal information, and I do not use it for automated decision-making. The legal basis for processing is your consent when you submit a form, and my legitimate interest in running and securing this website.

Who I share it with

Your information is shared only with service providers that help run this website, such as the hosting provider, email delivery service and, if enabled, analytics tools. They process data on my behalf and only for these purposes. I may disclose information if the law requires it.

How long I keep it

Messages sent through the site are kept for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards, normally no longer than 24 months, unless we continue working together or the law requires longer retention.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, update or delete your personal information, withdraw consent, object to processing, or ask for a copy of your data. California residents can ask what information has been collected and request deletion, and will not be treated differently for doing so. To exercise any right, email dm@akshaymeena.com. I respond within 30 days.

Security

The site uses HTTPS encryption, and access to submitted information is restricted. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Children

This website is not intended for anyone under 18, and I do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
